TRASH

Trash is a 40 minute musical that presents a monster lesson for kids (and their adults) to reduce, reuse, recycle. The story begins when a neighborhood starts feeding a harmless compost pile all of the neighborhood's waste. It quickly morphs into a monster trash heap that threatens to consume everything. Only when the citizens learns to manage their monster-sized waste problems do they regain control and rescue themselves. [Learn More]

In The Works

This year the Puppet Improv Project is in the early stages of developing several new musical shows. Trash, PIP's first scripted musical (premiered 2013), features a monster lesson to reduce, reuse, recycle. Off the Reef (currently in production) schools audiences in the benefits of biodiversity. Fae (using animatronics and computer game technology) imagines the near destruction of a world without compassion. Curiosity (future project) questions what life on Mars looks like from a robot's perspective. Wild Wild Critters (future project) explores the lives of native critters in the different Texan biomes. In an effort to continue our mission, all these shows will feature original scripts, songs and scores, as well as advancements in puppet technology.
