Current... "Trash"

“TRASH” is an 40 minute musical that presents a monster lesson for kids (and their adults) to reduce, reuse, recycle. The story begins with a harmless compost pile that feeds off the city's thoughtless waste. It quickly morphs into a monster trash heap that threatens to consume everything. Only when the city learns to manage their monster-sized waste problems do they regain control and rescue their citizens. [Learn More]

The next public performace of this show will be Saturday, 11/15/14 at One World Theater. [Tickets]

In The Works

This year the Puppet Improv Project is in the early stages of developing several new musical shows. Trash, PIP's first scripted musical (premiered 2013), features a monster lesson to reduce, reuse, recycle. Off the Reef (premiering early 2015) schools audiences in the benefits of biodiversity. Fae (premiering late 2015) imagines the near destruction of a world without compassion. Curiosity (premiering early 2016) questions what life on Mars looks like from a robot's perspective. Wild Wild Critters (premiering late 2016) explores the lives of native critters in the different Texan biomes. In an effort to continue our mission, all these shows will feature original scripts, songs and scores, as well as advancements in puppet technology.
